A site designed and developed end to end for artist and researcher Samuel Lasso. Samuel needed a platform that could hold more than images: research, curatorial texts from exhibitions, footnotes, credits, acknowledgements, something that could show the process behind every one of his projects. We landed on something closer to a blog than a portfolio, a structure that could take that weight and be used to share very different types of projects.
The design came out of his practice. Grayscale, diffusion, the way text is distributed across his covers, and the fade — lo que se desvanece, what fades away — all pulled from the work itself and rebuilt as interface. Each project also carries its geographic coordinates, which felt right for an artist whose work is so tied to territory. The CMS was custom-built in Sanity, with schemas shaped around how he actually thinks about a project: not just title and some images, but a body of material with layers.
